In this workshop, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to create a pitch deck that not only communicates your vision but also captures the attention and interest of potential investors and stakeholders. The session begins by delving into the key components of an effective pitch deck, including design principles, content organization, and the art of storytelling. Participants will learn how to structure their pitch to highlight crucial aspects such as Market Studies, Competition, and Target Customers, ensuring a clear and compelling narrative. We will also cover the differences between a 1-minute and a 3-minute pitch, the importance of a strong elevator pitch, and how to use body language and public speaking techniques to enhance your delivery.

Beyond the basics, this workshop introduces participants to various AI tools that can significantly enhance the pitch deck creation process. These tools, which require no prior design skills, can assist in generating content ideas, refining messaging, and optimizing the overall design, making the process more efficient and impactful.

By the end of this session, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to create a pitch deck that stands out and effectively communicates your value proposition to any audience, regardless of how developed your ideas or businesses are.

Trainer Profile

Martine Zaarour

Martine Zaarour has successfully transitioned from architecture to entrepreneurship, founding Jar Thuraya, an SME that supports women producers across Lebanon. This pivotal change was spurred by her involvement in the Youth Leadership Program (YLP), leading her into the realm of social entrepreneurship. Her professional growth continued through two fellowships in Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, which broadened her global perspective and reshaped her career. Martine graduated from Virginia Tech and George Mason University with diplomas in leadership and community solutions, and a minor in Data Monitoring and Evaluation. Her academic achievements equipped her to mentor at Centro Community’s Advanced Entrepreneurship Program in California, where she supported BIPOC women in developing business plans, pitch decks, and impact reporting. Currently, Martine mentors SMEs at TRI and FSF, focusing on e-commerce, evaluation, and design. Passionate about design, she shapes brand identity and storytelling for her business, which has grown from a local idea into a global brand. She also leads youth entrepreneurship training in Beirut and serves on the Board of Directors for the Global Innovation Institute’s Lebanese Chapter.
